Once again, I didn’t pay more than $45 for anything in my closet besides my prom dress, which was $120. And that was the dress I wore for my Sweet 16 party too so it wasn’t a one-event investment. And I guess my two chorus dresses were $63 each but that doesn’t really count, right? Don’t comment below all “girllll wutttt u have a ralph lauren sweatur!” or anything like that. Anything that seems higher end I probably got on clearance, at TJ Maxx or Marshalls, or at Plato’s Closet. Also, I didn’t buy all of these clothes in one sitting. I haven’t really changed clothing sizes in about 3 1/2 years and I get a lot of hand-me-downs from my older sister, so these are clothes I’ve accumulated over many years, not over the last summer. And finally, I do realize how lucky I am to have so many clothes. I promise, the majority of clothes that I do grow out of (usually jeans and jackets) I donate to the VA or the Salvation Army. I don’t just let them pile up in my closet So please…no hate.

Back in 2006, my friends and I wanted to do something special for our prom dates. We decided that instead of going to an expensive restaurant like the rest of our class, we would turn my living room into a 5-star restaurant and make them a movie before dinner. This was their “video gift” and they were very surprised. Afterwards, we gave them their own copy with a matching dvd case and accompaning soundtrack. We had a lot of fun with this. My mass comm teacher at the time wanted a copy to show to her future students, so I went back and added some credits. This is the final product! Hopefully this will give you a creative idea if you’re looking to do something for someone special. Also, it is cheesey on purpose. Duh.
