Add a strand of blond if you’re a brunette. Or add a strand of hot pink if you’re a blonde; especially if your dress is pink too!

Your lipstick, eyeshadow, and blush should be yummy looking. And here’s another way to get that look without paying for it. For example, go to a cosmetics counter at your local department store.

Many department stores give full free make-up applications for customers. You might have to buy a lipstick or a foundation compact, but that won’t be very expensive.

Accessories

A pricey pair of shoes will make any design look more expensive. And shoes, unlike a dress you may only wear one time, will be useful to you for years. Spend less on your gown, and a little more on your shoes.

Fancy jewelry can glitz up your head-to-toe fabulousness. And luckily, costume jewelry is looking pretty amazing these days. You can also borrow real diamonds from a relative. Just be careful and keep them safe!

Another thing you can borrow is a silk shoulder wrap or pashmina shawl. Remember, the more valuable pieces you can add to your overall look, the better.

Lingerie

Never underestimate the power of a wonderful bra. The biggest problem with cheap clothing is that it sometimes doesn’t fit well. That’s the easiest way to spot a sale rack reject.

The right undies will make your ensemble fit better. If you can make it match your body well enough, you’ll fool the world. The more tailor-made your design looks, the more everyone will think you paid for it.

Your Date

Nothing will juice up prom dresses on sale more than a hot date on your arm! Try to hook up with the sexiest, most popular person in school. I promise you, no one will wonder how much you paid for your gown. They’ll be too busy wondering what the scoop is with you and that hottie.
